YMCA Referee Training Clinics    

The Homecourt YMCA & Treasure Valley AAU Basketball Association presents referee training for adults & youth (16 and up).  Look at basketball with a new perspective, improve your knowledge of the rules, learn the proper conduct & responsibilities of a referee.  Clinic consists of both classroom and hands-on game experience with the option to receive follow up instruction, mentoring and employment possibilities. 

*Clinic is held three times per year; June, September & January.

Time: 8:30am—12:30pm

Location: Homecourt YMCA in Meridian

Cost: YMCA Member:$40, Non-Member $45 (Referee uniform not included)

Clinic includes:

• Referee & Game Management Training

• Official Referee Training binder with NFHS game rules book, referee log, whistle & lanyard.

• Taught by NFHS Certified Referees who supply assessments & feedback

• Receive valuable information & what steps are necessary to become state certified.

• Opportunity to receive payment as a sub-contracted official for local area recreational leagues.
