2009 Boys AAU Basketball Tournament Information
* Tournament is single elimination; this means 1 loss and a team is out of the tournament.
* Teams are seeded based on their overall ranking at the end of the regular season. If teams end the season with the exact same record we will use a heads up format to decide who gets the higher seed. This means if Team A & Team B both finish the regular season 7-3 we will look at who won the game between Team A & Team B during the regular season. The winner will get the higher seed and the loser will get the lower seed. If multiple teams finish the season with the same record but did not play each other during the regular season we will look at their win/loss record & gage their placing based on whether they won or lost to a higher or lower ranked team.
* AAU uses the same format as the NCAA Basketball Tournament placing the highest ranked team against the lowest ranked team and funneling down the brackets until the 2 middle ranked teams playing each other. This format rewards teams for a strong regular season.
* The tournament schedule with the generic brackets, times and locations will be available, then updated once the final regular season games are played & rankings are determined. We understand everyone is eager about the upcoming schedule & we strive to make sure all the correct information is submitted to the website.
* The higher ranked team is considered the home team and will wear white jersey's; the lower ranked team is considered the visitor & will wear the colored side of their uniform. Remember the home team must provide a book keeper and the visiting team must provide a score keeper. This rule is the same throughout the tournament.
* All game & administrative rules are the same as they were during the regular season with the exception of one. A player is not required to play during the end of the season tournament like they were during the regular season. It is up to the coach as to who receives playing time and how much.

5th-7th Boys Post Season Tournament
1st Round: Friday, December 11th 6-9pm (Gym space is limited, so not all brackets will play in this round.)
2nd Rounds, Semi-Finals & Finals: Saturday, December 12th (All Day)
The Tournament Champion, Runner-Up & Sportsmanship Awards in each bracket will be presented with their medals & plaques after each bracket's All-Star game.
