How do I tryout for AAU Basketball?

 All players who wish to play in the AAU league must attend an AAU authorized tryout. Trying out for AAU Basketball is easy; no need to pre-register and no cost to try-out. Simply attend the tryouts at your high school feeder area assigned time and location. This year, all tryouts for boys living in the Treasure Valley will take place at the Homecourt YMCA in Meridian which is located at 936 W. Taylor Street. Click here for a detailed map. When you arrive, each athlete will sign-in and receive a jersey with a number on it. Coaches will run athletes through various drill such as shooting, passing, dribbling, defense & scrimmage game play.  Players should make every effort to attend their scheduled tryout time, however, if it's not possible to attend on this date, players may attend the Make-Up players are not permitted to attend both tryouts.   See the AAU Details & Guidelines link for complete details.

The 2008-09 8th & 9th Grade Boy's & Girl's AAU tryouts will be held in February 2009.  See this website in January 2009 for exact time & location of tryouts.
